Investment & FAQ

Because therapy is an investment—in your healing, your clarity, your becoming.

The Investment

Therapy is a big investment — not just financially, but emotionally, energetically, and in your time. I honor that fully. Below you’ll find transparent info on rates, what working together looks like, and answers to common questions.

Session Rate:

$175 per 50-minute session

Sliding Scale:

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on financial need. If you’re interested in one of these spaces, please reach out—I'm committed to making therapy more accessible.

Payment & Policies:

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA.

Insurance:

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Not sure how that works? I’m happy to walk you through the process—just ask!

  • Yes. That’s actually more common than you think. You don’t have to show up with a plan—just a willingness to explore what’s here.

  • I won’t give you one-size-fits-all advice, but I will support you in making sense of things, finding tools that work for you, exploring options, and tuning into your own inner knowing. I’ll ask questions, offer reflections, and walk beside you—not ahead of you.

  • YES. Everything you share is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (like safety concerns). We’ll go over those in more detail during our first session, so you know exactly what to expect.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum, rapport and safety. Over time, we may shift to biweekly depending on your needs, goals, and capacity.

“Good Faith Estimate”

  • Under healthcare law, health care providers are now required as of 1/1/2022 to provide clients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of costs of services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services with GroundingU LLC. I will provide one to you as part of your intake forms if you are not using insurance or agree to a sliding fee. You can also ask me or any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
